The human race occupies a leading position in the Space Federation. Humanity has assumed the role of organizing, coordinating, and maintaining balance in relations between the known space races. Therefore, their flag features a star—a symbol of guiding direction and high ideals—as well as a crown—a traditional symbol of power, sovereignty, and nobility; and an eagle—a symbol of vigilance, patronage, and dominance, independence, and generosity.
This flag-standard can be hung (mounted) on a pole similar to that of Roman centurions, for example (a vertical pole with a horizontal crossbar).
